How does child sponsorship work?

You decide you want to sponsor a child…like Adela for example:

Through the selection of Adela, you have been matched with “Heather’s House” (Casa 3), the home that Adela lives in.

As a sponsor, you are an integral part of the support system, coming alongside the quality care provided by compassionate staff. At Arms of Love, our model of care is built on the foundation of family. Our children are raised by house parents dedicated to caring for the specific needs of each child. Parents teach children life skills, help with homework, provide Christian discipleship, and most importantly, demonstrate genuine acceptance, healthy relationships, and love.

Most importantly, a child who has been abandoned is given special attention from people who truly care — sometimes feeling loved for the first time.

Through sponsorship, you provide monthly financial support and can offer additional encouragement through prayer, letter writing, and relationships. Through photos, correspondence, updates, and visits, many sponsors choose to develop a personal connection with the children and staff.

“We’ll never forget the way Rollie and Stephanie greeted us at the airport with arms wide open! We already considered our sponsored kids to be part of our family, and meeting them solidified that. It was quite surreal to hug them after corresponding through letters and pictures. We did a lot of things during our trip to Arms of Love Philippines – feeding programs, painting, buying shoes for all the kids – but the most meaningful part was just being with Rollie and Steph.
