When disaster strikes, there are often few resources available to meet the immediate needs. We experienced this firsthand after Typhoon Haiyan and the earthquakes that hit the Philippines in 2013, as well as after the strong earthquakes that shook the foundation of Nicaragua in 2014. In a matter a moments, buildings were damaged and children were living in tents.
Ready or not here they come! Arms of Love welcomed over 20 new children in our home in less than 15 months. That was a 39% increase for our residential programs. As a family, we are honored and blessed to
rescue children from circumstances of abuse, neglect, abandonment. This year has demonstrated that within 30 minutes, our family can grow by 4. We need to be prepared to welcome and care for new children at any given time, while protecting and loving our children already living with us. Help us respond in times of greatest need, whether it is a natural disaster, fixing a broken down vehicle, or providing the essential needs for a new child who joins our family after living on streets.
We seldom know when abandoned children will be joining our family. The responsibility of caring for a child is a sacred one. Will you help us be ready to care for new kids?
When new children are suddenly placed in our homes, the unexpected circumstance presents itself, or emergency comes knocking… your “Where Needed Most” donation allows our staff to utilize funds to respond during the moments of greatest need.
