25 Years of Ministry

Then
What began as a calling placed on the heart of Robert Benson has grown into a ministry that has transformed the lives of hundreds of children across Nicaragua and the Philippines. From welcoming just eight children into a newly established home in 2000 to seeing young men and women graduate college, build careers, and remain part of the Arms of Love family- God’s hand on this ministry is undeniable.
Now
For 25 years, we have done more than provide shelter- we have offered family, stability, and the love of Christ. Our impact lives in the stories of children who have found safety, rediscovered joy, and stepped confidently into their God-given purpose.

A Journey of Transformation
Loragin’s Story

When Loragin arrived at Arms of Love as a child, she was one of nine siblings facing extreme poverty, abandonment, and instability. But from the very beginning, she was welcomed into our Residential Protection Program- a Christ-centered home where she found safety, healing, and the love of a family.
Over the years, she grew within that nurturing environment, regaining her voice and her confidence. When the time came to step into adulthood, our Independent Living Program gave her the tools she needed to build a future- support for her education, mentorship, and life skills rooted in faith and purpose.
Because of the stability and support she received over nearly two decades, Loragin was able to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. And in 2024, she graduated, passed her board exam, and is now working in a hospital as an ER nurse- bringing compassion and care to others just as she received growing up.
This is the impact of long-term love. This is what happens when a child is
given a home, a future, and a family that never gives up.
