Restoring Childhood.
Rewriting Futures.

Arms of Love is a Christ-centered nonprofit that provides family, healing, and hope for children who have experienced trauma and abandonment. We equip them to grow in love, faith, and purpose-transforming lives and breaking cycles of poverty across generations.

Poverty, malnutrition, and lack of access to education leave thousands of children in Nicaragua vulnerable to child labor, exploitation, and human trafficking. Nearly one in four people lives below the national poverty line, and an estimated 500,000 children are out of school. These challenges create impossible choices for families simply trying to survive.

Extreme poverty and widespread exploitation leave millions of children in the Philippines vulnerable to abuse, violence, and lifelong health challenges. The country is the world’s largest known source of online child sexual exploitation. Nearly 8 in 10 children experience some form of violence, and millions suffer the long-term effects of trauma and neglect.

Our Approach

A Home of Safety
and Security

More than shelter, it is a place where healing begins. For many of our children, it is their first time feeling safe, full, and truly loved. In this Christ-centered home, laughter returns, trust is rebuilt, and every child experiences the life-changing love of Jesus.

A Family
of Healing

Healing from trauma takes time, consistency, and love. In our Christ-centered family, children find the support they need to process pain, rebuild trust, and rediscover joy. Every step forward is a testament to their strength- and God’s restoring grace.

A Future of
Wholeness

Wholeness means more than survival- it means healing, purpose, and growth. Through education, discipleship, and life skills, we equip young people to build meaningful futures, break cycles of poverty, and become leaders rooted in faith and hope.

A Community
of Hope

Hope begins with survival- but it does not stop there. By walking alongside families and addressing the roots of poverty, we help children dream bigger, grow stronger, and build a future filled with the unshakable hope of Jesus.

Our programs

Community Development Program

Desperate situations can lead to desperate decisions. Our Community Development Program works to prevent family breakdown by meeting children and caregivers where they are- offering nutritional support, tutoring, health education, and Christ-centered activities.

We walk alongside parents too, involving them in every step through meetings, committees, and job opportunities within the program. When families are supported and empowered, children can grow up in stable, loving homes-and the cycle of trauma can be broken before it begins.

Residential Protection Program

When children can no longer remain safely with their families, Arms of Love becomes home. Our Residential Protection Program welcomes children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment into loving, Christ-centered families led by dedicated house parents.

Here, they receive comprehensive care: education, healthcare, emotional healing, and spiritual formation. We keep siblings together whenever possible and create the stability children need to begin healing, growing, and dreaming again.

Independent Living Program

The journey doesn’t end when a child turns 18. Through our Independent Living Program, we continue to walk with youth as they step into adulthood providing scholarships, life skills training, mentorship, and spiritual guidance.

Whether they pursue university or trade school, our goal is to equip each young adult to live independently, support themselves, and give back to their communities. They carry with them the love and foundation they received at Arms of Love and the knowledge that they are never alone.
